We love every single piece of oak and pine furniture we produce at The Rocking Chair – if we didn’t, we wouldn’t be building and selling it!

Putting our all into our furniture’s production, to some it can seem like it’s a relatively straightforward process – we get some wood, work off a design, cut and assemble pieces together and a few hours later you’re looking at an Aspen wardrobe or a dining room chair.

And although this is essentially the process, it’s a really, really (really!) high-level view of it and there’s a lot that goes into the production of our furniture to ensure it fully satisfies our customers.

Quality materials

Take the wood we use as an example.  Whether it’s oak or pine, we always ensure we’re working with the highest quality material we possibly can.

Although you may not think you’d notice the difference between different woods (of the same type) in terms of their quality, we’re certain you would – and it’s because of this why we only use the highest quality materials we can, as this way we can be confident you’re going to be getting a piece of furniture that you can not only admire and cherish, but which will last for years to come.

Customer understanding

But whilst the materials are obviously important, they’re only part of the process and one of the most important factors from our point of view is the understanding we have of our customers’ needs.

We know we don’t have a crystal ball and obviously we can’t know for certain what our customers are going to want from the furniture we produce, but our years in the industry have given us a fantastic insight into what to include – and not to include – in our furniture.

The quality materials point above is actually a great example.  We know our customers understand how important quality is when creating – and buying – a piece of furniture and that although costs need to be kept as low as possible, it’s not an issue paying a little extra if you can feel confident the product is going to completely and utterly satisfy your needs.

Years of experience

A lot of the above can all be traced back to the fact that we’ve got years of experience in our industry and we can put every piece of knowledge we’ve gained over the years into the furniture we produce.

We have a great understanding of what works and what doesn’t.  We know some fantastic hints and tips to help you get the most from your furniture and we love to offer as much advice as we can.

Although this last point may not be something that goes into our furniture as such, it’s something that goes into the whole customer experience, which we’re always striving to perfect.

Everything we’ve learnt both as individuals and as a company is put into the production of every single piece of oak and pine furniture we create today, which along with the additional points above – and several others – makes us confident you’ll do nothing but love the items we offer.
